It is with great joy to share the feedback below from a recent convention hosted towards the end of 2023 by Native Missionary Movement (NMM).
NMM is an organization working out of India and one that has been involved with WEM over the past many years. This convention is hosted annually by NMM with several thousands of people in attendance from over 2500 churches. It has always been a place of refreshing and growth spiritually for these people. Furthermore, God graciously provides for His children who never lacks in provision to cater for this event. Even though this convention also has a very strong police presence as mandated by the Indian government, all proceedings are without incident.
Whilst WEM was unable to attend, WEM’s input was made possible by your generous support, prayer and most importantly by the work of God.
If you would like to know more about WEM and its partnering organizations and how to get involved, please feel free to email us or contact us through our contact page.
Message from Paul Thomas Mathews
The 43rd Navapur Convention ended on a high note. We just want to thank you for participation and for praying with us.
Every session was dynamic; the Word in particular was power-packed. Whether it was the general meetings or the sessions with the leadership, the pastors’ wives or the children, the effect was evident in the way the people responded to it.
The worship experience with the Navapur crowd is always glorious. This year was no different. Led by home-grown worship leaders, with many new faces among them, it was an amazing time of worshiping together in Spirit and in truth; young and old alike, with Word based songs, some of which were composed just for the convention.
Hundreds of volunteers worked tirelessly in various teams to ensure seamless movements of people and the events. It is always a joy to see new people being raised up to serve in various ministries.
One of the highlights was Mum Mary ministering in one of the women’s sessions. She encouraged the women to rise up, be transformed and believe God to do great things and not be bound by limitations.
Receiving simple meals of dhal (lentil) and rice with grateful hearts, thousands gathered together for this incredible week of fellowship and just enjoying the presence of God together. For the first time the youth competed nationally among the churches and awards and trophies were given away for various competitions held.
The children’s ministry reported that over 400 children were attending each of the various sessions curated and conducted just for them.
