Some people living on the edge of life scrounge around dumpsites to make a living. They come from remote villages with dreams to make it big in the metropolitan cities only to end up as “a heap of nobody” in the dumpsites. With no hope for the future, they succumb to all sorts of substance abuse etc. But with frontline missionaries who see these people as precious souls in the sight of the Lord, share the love of God and rekindle their hopes and dreams for this life, and also for the next. Seen here are people worshipping the Lord who were brought by frontline missionaries.
“Lift up your heads and see the fields are white unto harvest”
Your prayers and contributions will help our missionaries in reaching out to these precious souls
The building housing these worshippers was one of our projects.
Rajput (Hindu traditions) in India
Pronounced: RAHJ-put
The name Rajput is derived from the Sanskrit word rajputra, meaning "son of a ruler." The Rajputra constitutes a class of nobility. The Rajput clans emerged as a dominant community in north and western India in the colonial period. The economic data suggests that the majority of Rajput are landowners. A large number of communities have migrated to their present habitat, and this has made them one of the most mobile groups in India.
Ministry Obstacles: Fear that Christianity aims to turn individuals from their families, communities and traditions hinders Rajput families and communities from considering the gospel.
Outreach Ideas: Sustained, focused prayer is needed to open the hearts of Rajput families to experiencing God's blessing through a movement of family-based discovery Bible studies.
Scripture Focus: "Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods, because in this affair they dealt arrogantly with the people." - Exodus 18:11
Prayer Focus: Pray that non-believers among this people group will be convinced to follow the Lord because of His miracles.
Pray for the few Rajput believers to be effective at engaging their families and communities in discussing Bible stories and experiencing God's blessing. Pray that a strong movement to Jesus would bring whole Rajput families and communities into a rich experience of God's blessings.
